Version 2, in force from 9 October 2026.
The short version
- The Architect is a free Minecraft mod plus an AI service that runs on our servers, and a website, the Studio.
- The Architect is an AI, not a person. It can make mistakes, so check a build before you build it.
- You need an account (you sign in with your email). There is no free AI usage: you use The Architect with a subscription, with extra usage, or with your own API key (18+ only, in the game only). Prices are in section 5 and on our website.
- You must be 15 or older. Under 18, a parent or guardian makes the purchases.
- Usage you have used is not refunded. If a request fails because of an error on our side, you get the usage back. In the EU you can cancel a purchase within 14 days (section 7, refunds and cancellation).
- Your Studio builds are private. You can share a build with a code if you want to (section 10); there is no public gallery.
- Follow the rules of the servers you play on, and the rules in section 11. If you break them, we can pause or close your account.
1. Who we are and what these terms cover
These terms are an agreement between you and Mikkel Nøhr, a private individual, Hvidkløvervej 8, 6650 Brørup, Denmark ("we", "us"). There is no company behind the service for now. You can reach us at thearchitectmodmc@gmail.com; see also the contact page.
They cover The Architect hosted service: The Architect mod while it is connected to our server, your account, usage, and this website and the Studio. How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy.
If you are under 18, please read these terms together with a parent or guardian.
2. Who can use The Architect
- You must be at least 15 years old. We ask you to confirm this when you create an account.
- Under 18: you need a parent's or guardian's permission, and a parent or guardian must make any purchase for you.
- Own API key: 18 and over only.
- You need your own copy of Minecraft: Java Edition.
3. Your account
- You create an account on our website with your email address. We email you a sign-in link; there is no password.
- To connect the mod, you type the short code the game shows you into our website. We also check that the Minecraft account is yours, and store its ID and name (see the Privacy Policy). One Minecraft account can be linked to one The Architect account.
- The mod then keeps a login token on your computer. Keep it private, like a password. You can revoke linked devices in your account.
- One account per person. Don't share, sell or lend your account or login token. If you think someone else has access to it, tell us.
- You can delete your account at any time in the Studio.
4. Ways to use The Architect
- There is no free AI usage. The mod is free to download. Without a plan, extra usage or your own key you can still use Litematica and your ghosts, but the AI is off.
- Usage: your requests run on our AI access and use your usage (section 5). You get usage from a subscription (your monthly usage) or from extra usage packs. The Studio shows your monthly usage as a share of the month (a percentage), and extra usage separately.
- Your own API key (Anthropic or OpenAI): your requests run on your own account with that company, and you pay it directly (section 8). Using your own key is free with us, and works in the game only, not in the Studio.
- The features in the game are the same either way.
- The Architect Small, Medium and Large are quality levels. Each one uses a different AI model, and we may change the model behind a level. If our main AI provider is down, we may automatically use a comparable model from another provider (for example OpenAI) so your request can still run.
5. Plans, extra usage and limits
All prices are in US dollars. Stripe, our payment provider, shows the final price before you pay. We are not VAT-registered (we are below the Danish VAT threshold), so no VAT is added: the price you see is the price you pay.
- Plans: three subscriptions, billed monthly or yearly (table below). A yearly plan costs ten months for twelve, and still adds its monthly usage month by month. Each plan is for one account. All paying customers can use all models, including Large.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly | Monthly usage (usage units) |
|---|---|---|---|
| Settler | $7.99 | $79.90 | 275 |
| Builder | $17.99 | $179.90 | 650 |
| The Architect | $29.99 | $299.90 | 1,050 |
Extra usage, monthly usage and limits:
- Usage units: usage is counted in usage units. The Billing page shows your monthly usage as a percentage of the month, and its "Details" view shows the exact units, per day. Nothing on our website or in the Studio is a promise of what usage covers: how much a request uses depends on the request.
- Extra usage packs (credits): one-time purchases that don't need a subscription: 100 credits $5.99, 300 credits $15.99, 700 credits $34.99, 1,000 credits $44.99. One credit is one usage unit. Credits are your extra usage: they are used after your monthly usage is spent (or on their own if you have no plan). Credits don't expire.
- Monthly usage: a plan adds its monthly usage every month. Unused monthly usage expires when the plan renews. If you change plan, the new plan's monthly usage arrives at the next renewal.
- Fair use: to protect the service from spam, every account can send at most 60 messages an hour and 400 a day. Your usage is the only other limit.
- Spending limit: you can set an optional monthly limit on your purchases and renewals in your account at any time (off by default; nothing is asked before a purchase). Lowering it or turning it on applies at once; raising it or turning it off takes effect after 24 hours. A purchase that would pass the limit is refused.
- What usage is: a right to use The Architect's AI features. They are not money, not a deposit and not electronic money. They have no cash value, and you can't exchange, sell, transfer or cash them out. They can only be used in The Architect.
- Set aside before you build: before a request runs, The Architect sets aside the most usage it can use, and you never pay more than that. If the request needs less, you use less. The "Details" view on the Billing page shows what each day used.
- Used usage is not refunded. If a request fails because of an error on our side, you get the usage back. If you stop a request yourself, you pay for the work done up to that point.
6. Buying plans and packs
- Who sells to you: we do (Mikkel Nøhr, see section 1). Stripe is our payment provider: it processes the payment, sends the receipt and handles card security and fraud checks. We decide refunds under these terms. Purchases from the United Kingdom are not available for now.
- Monthly and yearly plans renew automatically until you cancel. You can cancel at any time in the Studio, on the Billing page ("Manage subscription"). Your plan stays active until the end of the period you paid for, and you keep using its monthly usage until then. We don't refund part of a period unless the law requires it (see section 7). We email you before a yearly plan renews.
- Price changes: we tell you at least 30 days before a new price applies to your plan, and you can cancel before it does.
- Under 18: a parent or guardian must make the purchase.
7. Refunds, cancellation and your right of withdrawal
- Cancel a plan: at any time in the Studio (Billing page). It stops the next renewal.
- Usage you have used is not refunded, and usage lost because it expired (monthly usage at renewal) is not refunded.
- Failed requests: usage for a request that failed because of an error on our side are returned automatically.
- 14-day right of withdrawal (EU/EEA consumers): if you live in the EU or EEA, you normally have 14 days to cancel an online purchase. Plans and extra usage are a digital service that we start delivering as soon as you buy. So, at checkout, we ask you to (1) agree that we start delivering right away, and (2) confirm that you know this means you lose your right of withdrawal, fully or partly, once delivery has started.
- Even so, we refund the price of the usage you have not used if you cancel within 14 days of the purchase. For a plan, we refund the part of the price for usage you haven't used.
- How to cancel within the 14 days: email thearchitectmodmc@gmail.com from the address on your account with the word "withdrawal" and what you bought. Any clear statement works; no form is required. The refund goes back to the payment method you used, through Stripe, within 14 days of your message.
- If a service is faulty, your legal rights as a consumer apply on top of this.
8. Using your own API key
- Only if you are 18 or over and have your own account with Anthropic or OpenAI. Their terms and usage policies apply to your use of it. For these requests, you are their customer, and they bill you directly.
- You still need an account with The Architect. Own-key requests use none of your usage, and we charge no fee for them. This works in the game only.
- You are responsible for all use and costs on your key, including a reply that finishes after you disconnect. We recommend setting a spending limit in your account with the provider.
- We use your key only to run your requests while you are connected. We never store it (see the Privacy Policy).
- If the provider rejects your key or your balance runs out, The Architect tells you. We can't help with the provider's billing.
- Keep your key secret. If it leaks, revoke it with the provider.
9. AI builds: check before you build
- The Architect's answers and builds are made by an AI. They can be wrong. For example, a build can have the wrong size, floating blocks, gaps or a wrong material list, or not be what you asked for.
- Survival: The Architect only shows a ghost blueprint. You place every block yourself, so check the ghost and the material list first.
- Creative instant build: blocks are placed only inside the area you approved, and only after an undo snapshot is taken. Undo can still miss things, so keep backups of worlds you care about.
- Builds are for Minecraft only. They are not real-world building advice.
- Servers: you must follow the rules of every server you play on. Many servers have rules about mods, schematics and building helpers. On a server, instant build uses the same commands as Litematica's paste and only works where the server allows them. Don't use The Architect to break server rules, grief or get around anti-cheat. We are not responsible if a server bans or punishes you.
10. Your content and your builds
- Your content stays yours: messages, images and schematics you send. You allow us to use them only to run The Architect for you (including sending them to our AI providers and to our moderation check), to store them as described in the Privacy Policy, and, only if you opt in, to improve The Architect.
- Only send content you are allowed to use. A picture from the internet may be protected by copyright, so use it as inspiration.
- Builds The Architect makes for you: we don't claim ownership of them. You can use them in your worlds, on servers and in videos, and share the schematic files yourself. Other players may get similar builds.
- Your Studio builds are private. There is no public gallery, and we never show your builds to anyone without your permission.
- Sharing a build (optional): in the game,
/sharemakes a share code for one of your builds. Anyone who has the code can open the build as a ghost in their own game, with its title and your Minecraft name, and where it stands only if you choose to include that. A share lasts 30 days after it was last opened or updated, and you can revoke it at any time with/shares. Sharing is free and needs an The Architect account. If you choose Live when you share, the share follows that build: each new version you make of it updates the share, and people who opened it can see the new version. We keep the last 10 versions of a live share. - Only share what you have the rights to: your own builds, or builds you are allowed to share. The rules in section 11 apply to shared builds and their titles. Don't put personal data in a title.
- Permission to show your share: when you share a build, you allow us to store it and show it to anyone who has the code, for as long as the share exists. You keep your rights to it, and we don't use shares for anything else.
- We can remove shares: titles are checked by our moderation (section 12) and anyone can report a share. We may hide or remove a share that breaks these terms or the law, and we tell you why. How reports work: Contact, how to report content.
11. Acceptable use
Don't use The Architect to:
- make or share anything illegal, sexual, hateful, harassing or violent-extremist, or anything that bullies someone. This includes builds, signs and names (for example hate symbols).
- share other people's personal data, or try to identify or track real people.
- break a server's rules, grief other players' builds, or cheat against other players.
- get around usage or limits, for example with several accounts or Minecraft accounts that aren't yours.
- share, sell or rent your account, login token or usage, or resell access to The Architect.
- reach our servers any other way than with the official mod or the Studio, use bots or scripts against our servers, overload them, or test their security without our written permission.
- copy or reverse-engineer our server software, or try to extract The Architect's instructions or tools, except where the law allows it.
- hide instructions in messages, files, images, signs or schematics to trick The Architect, or to trick other players' The Architect.
- break the usage policies of our AI providers, which apply to every request: Anthropic (www.anthropic.com/legal/aup) and OpenAI (openai.com/policies/usage-policies).
- upload or share malware, or content you don't have the rights to.
Reporting: in the game, use the report button next to a reply (or /report) or the Report button on a shared build; in the Studio, use the report menu on a reply. You can also email thearchitectmodmc@gmail.com.
12. Moderation, pauses and ending your account
- Automatic check: we check messages, images you attach and The Architect's replies with an automated moderation service (OpenAI's moderation tool). A message that is flagged is not sent to the AI and uses none of your usage; you get a short notice. A reply that is flagged is withdrawn and replaced with a notice. Automated checks can be wrong, and a flagged message is never a reason to be afraid: nothing happens to your account for a single flag.
- Strikes and pauses: repeated flagged messages lead to steps. Three flagged messages within 24 hours pause the chat for 1 hour. Four within 7 days pause it for 24 hours and send the account to a person for review. A pause ends by itself. Flags from The Architect's own replies are never counted against you.
- Bans are decided by a person, never automatically. We may warn you, limit your account, suspend it or close it if you break these terms, abuse The Architect, commit fraud or reverse a payment without reason, or if the law requires it. We tell you why, unless the law or someone's safety stops us.
- Appeal: if you think a pause or ban is wrong, email thearchitectmodmc@gmail.com. A person reads it and answers within 14 days.
- If we close your account for a serious or repeated breach, we may keep what you have already used, but we refund your unused paid extra usage, except where the breach was fraud or payment abuse. If we close it for any other reason, we refund your unused paid usage.
- You can stop using The Architect and delete your account at any time in the Studio. Deleting cancels your subscription. Unused usage is lost when you delete your account, and we warn you before you confirm (you can ask for a refund first, section 7).
- If we stop offering The Architect, we tell you at least 30 days in advance and refund unused paid usage.
13. Changes and availability
- We work to keep The Architect running, but it can be down, slow or change. Some features may be marked as test features.
- We may change features, the AI models behind The Architect Small, Medium and Large, and how much usage requests use. Your exact usage is always available in the "Details" view on the Billing page.
- Changes to these terms: we tell you in the game, in the Studio or by email at least 30 days before an important change. If you don't agree, you can cancel before it applies, and we refund your unused paid usage.
14. Liability
- Your legal rights as a consumer are not affected, including your rights if a digital service is faulty.
- Except where the law says otherwise, we are not responsible for losses in your Minecraft worlds or on servers (such as lost builds, items or a server ban), costs on your own API key, losses caused by breaking these terms, or events outside our control.
- None of this limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for injury, or any other liability that can't be limited by law.
15. Other companies and software
- NOT AN OFFICIAL MINECRAFT PRODUCT. NOT APPROVED BY OR ASSOCIATED WITH MOJANG OR MICROSOFT.
- "Minecraft" is a trademark of Mojang Synergies AB.
- The Architect is an AI service. Its answers are generated by AI models and are not made by a person.
- The Architect uses AI models from Anthropic and OpenAI. It is not made or endorsed by either company.
- Litematica, MaLiLib and Fabric are made by others and come with their own licences (see the licence notices that come with the mod).
16. Law and disputes
- Danish law applies. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
- Please contact us first at thearchitectmodmc@gmail.com, and we'll try to solve the problem.
- Complaints: if we can't agree, consumers can complain to the Danish Consumer Complaints Board (Forbrugerklagenævnet, run by Nævnenes Hus, www.naevneneshus.dk). Consumers in other EU countries can use the European Commission's online dispute resolution information at consumer-redress.ec.europa.eu to find the right body.
- Disputes go to the Danish courts. If you are a consumer, you can also go to the courts where you live.
